Kyle Richie is one of the most celebrated and respected financial advisors in the nation. In 2018, Kyle was ranked the #1 financial advisor in Canada for advisors across all firms by Wealth Professional magazine.  He has won virtually every award and accolade IG has to offer based on new business including a lifetime achievement award for financial planning and wealth management.

His path to his current role began as a 12-year old boy, with a board game called 'Stock Ticker', which made him fall in love with the financial industry. He began personally investing very early and after obtaining an economics degree from the University of Western Ontario, he made stops at the Royal Bank of Canada and Chase Manhattan Bank (now JP Morgan Chase) before starting with IG in 1999.

Kyle has spent more than two decades understanding and managing the unique financial complexities of physicians/surgeons and dentists.  Approximately 95% of all of his clients are medical/dental professionals. Kyle‘s father is an orthopaedic surgeon, his uncle is a dentist, and his wife, mother, mother-in-law and sister are nurses. 

Kyle is frequently asked to motivate and educate other financial professionals and has been a featured keynote speaker at many investment, insurance and medical industry conferences nationwide and around the globe.

He consistently maintains the highest ethical standards and continually strives to always improve clients’ lives and experiences.

Kyle and his wife Melanie believe in giving back and they are actively involved in the community. In addition to countless hours of volunteering, they are both significant donors to several charities including the local food bank, the United Way, World Vision, Amnesty International, Sick Kids Hospital and several other charitable organizations focused on helping less fortunate children.

Kyle and Melanie live in Brantford and have three wonderful children.  When Kyle is not logging long hours at work he enjoys skiing, golfing, playing hockey and spending time with his family.

Hidden ambition: Getting drafted to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Best pieces of financial advice received: 1) Concentrate to get rich, diversify to stay rich.  2) Use prudent use of leverage early in life. 

Favourite place to relax and unwind: Cottage and watching live music.

Hidden ambitions: Get noticed at the local hockey rink during a game of shinny and get drafted to the NHL

What’s your favourite food: Medium rare steak, baked potato, caesar salad and a fine red wine

Best piece of advice for financial security: It’s not how much money you make, but how much you keep, how hard it works for you and how many generations you keep it for.

Favourite pastime: Traveling with family and spending time at the cottage
